He glides through the streets of Chicago at night, driving his taxi. Calling and raising his arms, Eddie Miles tirelessly crisscrosses a city shaken by violence and poverty. He approaches certain neighborhoods, fear in his stomach, ever since a mysterious murderer has been targeting taxi drivers. His buddy, Lenny, alias "the Polack" , an old veteran and tough guy, has just been killed on a corner of a notorious street.
